| Brilliant first leg of the final! |
 Jorn Neumann has won the first leg of the A final after a brilliant race, first against pole sitter Lee Martin and then against 5th place qualifier, Neil Cragg.Some really close driving unfortunately led to a few touches, but all credit is due to the drivers who drove a sporting race and waited whenever they realised they were in the wrong. The crowd appreciated the sportsmanship and loudly applauded their actions. |
 Lee Martin had led to start with but made a mistake on the hairpin at the end of the back straight, allowing Jorn into the lead and Neil up to second.But on the final lap, after Neil had hunted down Jorn, the two touched again. With Neil waiting for Jorn to recover and re-take the lead, Lee closed right in and for the final lap the cars were split by just a few centimetres. Jorn ran out the winner from Neil and Lee. |
