Prumper Wins Leg 3!

Secures second overall!
Yannic Prumper won a thrilling third leg of the A Final to secure the runner up position. For the full five minutes Yannic led the field, despite having defending champion Ronald Volker glued to his rear bumper.

But the younger German withstood the pressure to claim a popular win, with Volker also having to worry about pressures from behind as a train of cars circulated in close company for the entire race distance. Rheinard, having secured the title, did not run the third leg.
Behind the two Germans, Swedes Alexander Hagberg and Viktor Wilck were waiting to benefit from any mistakes, with Jilles Groskamp and Marc Fischer also in close attendance.

As the train circualted, something had to give, and it all happened on the last lap. Wilck tried an ambitious move going through the infield section, hitting the side of Hagberg. Officials issued a 10-second penalty to Wilck following the race and after reviewing the race footage.
On the final corner, Volker tried a do-or-die attempt to take the corner tightly, but clipped the kerb and rolled the car. This allowed Wilck and Groskamp to nip pass. Volker recovered to fourth (which became third when Wilck's penalty was applied).

So the final results of the third leg were Prumper taking the win, Groskamp second, Volker third, followed by Fischer, Graversen, Hagberg, Wilck, Moore and Krapp.
So, once all the points were added up, the overall results of the 2011 EFRA Touring Car Championship are:
1 Marc Rheinard – DE – Tamiya / SpeedPassion / Thunder Power
2 Yannic Prumper – DE – Yokomo / Thunder Power
3 Ronald Volker – DE – Yokomo / LRP
4 Jilles Groskamp – NL – Tamiya / Orion
5 Viktor Wilck – SE – Tamiya / Thunder Power
6 Alexander Hagberg – SE – Xray / LRP
7 Steen Graversen – DK – Awesomatix / Thunder Power
8 Andy Moore – GB – Hot Bodies / Moorespeed
9 Christopher Krapp – DE – Kyosho / Orion
10 Marc Fischer – DE – Serpent / GM
