EFRA EC Electric 10th 2WD Off-Road report |
It was clear from the very first session on Monday that Joern Neumann of Germany would be the man to beat in the heat of Valladolid, with the Serpent pilot immediately marking himself as the benchmark for the rest of the field. |
The A Final was split over three legs, and Cragg found himself two seconds clear of the German after the first. However, in leg two, Neumann fought off Austrias Michal Orlowski and Lee Martin of Britain to cross the line in first, while Cragg only finished fifth after a challenging run. In leg three, it was Neumann's turn for a bad run, finishing fourth, some ten seconds behind Cragg, who crossed the line first despite a spirited challenge from Orlowski. br> This was enough for Cragg to take the championship, providing him with yet another trophy for the mantle, and a good dose of momentum ahead of the 4WD Euros, which take place at the same venue from today (Thursday) until Saturday.
